ColourPop’s Lippie Stix collection

The lippie stix are retractable sticks of color, with an airtight cap. They come in different finishes, and a range of shades. Most of the shades are medium intensity or bolder, with a few purples and a black thrown in for “edginess”...but they don’t have Urban Decay’s shade range (to pick a company famous for having blue, green, purple, and even black lipsticks.) The colors go on easily, pigmentation levels are good, and the price is decent, and about on par with most drugstore brands for the amount of product that you get. They do tend to have the same issue that bold or saturated lipsticks have, in that they transfer fairly easily and need touchups.

I have just under 40 colors, and that’s probably more than I strictly need. I most like their sheers, because I got to wear deeper purplish and kickass red without the lip color overwhelming the rest of my face. (The sheers seem to have been pared down, if not actually discontinued. Maybe they’ll come back around at some point.) I also like the current (2017) formula of the Matte X lippies. It’s got good color payoff without any drying or “show every single detail” issues that many matte lip colors seem to run afoul of.

I’m not going to try and list the colors in the Lippie Stix collection, because…it keeps changing. Keeping up with the list could become a full-time deal.
