I first tried some lip liners from ColourPop in 2015, shortly after the brand launched. They were alright, but I was not using lip liner a lot, so I didn't buy more than the two that I'd initially gotten. Then in early 2022 I heard Candace Victoria raving about these, and saw that there were several inexpensive multi-pencil kits available...and, yeah, I went a little nutso. (The only one that I didn't get was the nudes and browns.) There is some overlap between the kits, but if you're able to snag them when they're on sale, getting multiple kits can net you some very lovely unique colors. Some of the shades don't seem to be available for individual purchase. I myself was glad to get so many purples and cooler deep pinks.
These pencils are not retractable. They can be sharpened, even though the pencil is plastic. They're a softer formula - a little firmer than the Lippie Stix but not as firm as many other lip liner pencils - so they do keep a point, and you don't have to press really hard to get the color to show up.
