Concrete Minerals’ Risque

Definitely red. Definitely rich. Definitely matte. Not kidding.

This is a Pro Matte color, which means lakes and dyes, which means that technically it isn't “mineral makeup.” But all ingredients are FDA approved for cosmetic use, and this is safe for lips and eyes (and cheeks and nails, obviously.) I got just a tiny bit of staining with this color, when I swatched it wet. That's easily taken care of with makeup remover…or avoided by wearing an eyeshadow primer.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

This is slightly brighter than Concrete Minerals' Hearts, but not really that much warmer. I'd say that Risque is close to a neutral red, where Hearts is a deeper, slightly cool-neutral red.
