I got this brush once by accident, but quickly found a perfect use for it: not so much smudging, as initially collecting colors from palettes and patting them onto my lids. Fuller, fluffier brushes are good for picking up loose powders, but for pressed shadows I’ve found that they don’t do such a great job carrying shadows from pan to lid. I use this brush to stipple the color onto my lids, over primer; then pick up a very light amount of the color with a softer brush (like elf’s Contour Brush), and blend the color with that. I get a little fallout, but less color is just kicked into the air or dusted over the surface of the palette.
