Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

EoTD: The Ability to Swing

Burgundy and blue base coats, covered by supersparkly ice blue and lined with electric metallic mauve. Not an obvious choice. But if you're not willing to experiment, you won't have much fun…

Eyes

  • MAC Artifact paint pot, lash to crease and lightly smudged just below the eyes
  • MAC Delft paint pot, inner eyelid upward to crease and outer lash line winged outward
  • Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip pencil 2C, upper lash line and lower rim
  • Bare Escentuals' 2000s applied dry, lash to brow and just beneath the eyes
  • Pure Luxe's Vortex applied dry over the Make Up For Ever lip pencil

Lips

  • Bare Escentuals Rose Quickstick
  • Bare Escentuals Rose Crepe natural lip color

The colors

The name for this look comes from the song The Ability to Swing, by Thomas Dolby. It's available on the album Aliens Ate My Buick - a very typical 1980s/1990s bit of silliness with some hidden gems, such as the live version of Budapest by Blimp and May the Cube Be With You, Dolby's collaboration with George Clinton.
