Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Flowers From Flames

It took me a while to try out Femme Fatale Cosmetics because they had some attractive-looking colors at launch, but nothing that I couldn't find from stateside companies. And then they began adding duochrome colors to their line! (Actually, these are more often duotone than duochrome; the base color doesn't shift depending on the angle of the light. But they're still some attractive shades.)

I haven't done an exhaustive study, but it seems like there's a relative dearth of strongly-pigmented “orange” orange eyeshadows. There are peach, rust, and sheer orange shades, but not quite as many rich pumpkin or tangerine eyeshadows. Femme Fatale has a few really intense oranges, including Flowers from Flames: a bright pumpkin orange with autumnal depth and a very definite gold overlay-shimmer. The color payoff is solid, it applies well and blends well. It's just barely warm enough that I have to pair it with darker cool colors or neutrals, or the combination Just Looks Wrong.
