Technically, I think this is supposed to be classed as a “red”. I see it as being right on the border - could go either way, either be pulled more toward a red or more toward a plum depending on what other colors were worn with it. The coverage is excellent, as with all Fyrinnae neutrals: even, smooth, and with a soft finish rather than a harsher shimmer. That fits with the theme of the 50s Retro collection, which reproduced the colors and finishes worn in the 1950s. I know that Fyrinnae's chemist has commented on Twitter how little enthusiasm he has for neutrals. But Fyrinnae does neutrals so well! I'm not the major neutral-shadows fan that Cult of Taupe is; but a good, solid-performing neutral eye color is a thing to be valued nearly as much as a really good duochrome eyeshadow (if for different reasons.)
I'm not entirely sure, but I think that even though this shade has decided pink and plum tones, people with yellow or gold undertones may be able to wear this shadow without too many problems. (I think. If you have deep gold skintones and your first reaction when you look at this shade is “...not on my lids!” then trust your instincts.) This is a softer shade, good on its own with a deeper liner shade for a naturalistic look.
