Fyrinnae’s Starfish

This is sort of red…but when I apply it, it leans much more purple. (For those of you who have never seen a living sand dollar, they're this color. Yep, sand dollars and some starfish are mauvey-purple.) The color lightens a bit, but doesn't lose much intensity. The shimmer is very soft, the particles are very small. It's not like a more solid duotone layer that you see with some shadows. It's just a softer, subtle highlight.

This color was discontinued in 2011, and I bought it at a mega-sale of discontinued shadows in summer 2012.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
