This is a “mixture” color - two distinct complementary colors are visible. It's almost a duochrome, but not quite. The base color is a really interesting-looking medium-deep dusty blue with reddish purple undertones. The purple sparkle and shimmer is a bit more visible when the color is applied dry.
HiFi Cosmetics' “intermission” saddens me a bit because this was one in a string of indie-beauty-microbusinesses that failed or temporarily ceased operations, and left a lot of transactions not refunded. This string of behaviors makes everyone - even someone like myself, who has purchased a terrifying amount of indie-beauty products - leery of buying from microbusinesses unless they know several other people who have been customers for a while. And then at the first sign of a potential wobble, we all start pulling back from what may turn into the latest conflagration. HiFi Cosmetics had some colors that were really, genuinely attractive - but the manner of their closure, even with their current re-opening, leaves consumers smarting. I was conflicted about reviewing this color: do I post it? Or do I post it, but backdate the post massively so as to minimize any link PR that it might give to a company that previously exhibited bad behavior? (Honestly, it's makeup. There's not supposed to be quite this much drama involved!!!)
