Lots of private-label companies have makeup for sale on Ebay and Amazon (as well as Aliexpress.) So how do you find the gems amid the junk? By taking the occasional chance, apparently. And now I can tell all of you: these colorful waterproof mascaras from Ibcccndc are a good choice. They aren’t waterproof - they do wash off with water - but they don’t smudge or flake away, and they do require a bit more than just water to remove them. (A hot shower will usually do the trick nicely. Failing that, your standard oil-based makeup remover works fine.) And…colors! Bright colors! Yes, there’s one black, but also blue, violet, red, pink, green, and yellow. The formula is good, the mascara does stay in place all day, the applicator brush is hard plastic but actually does provide some definition. There are only seven colors, and I haven’t found tubes available for individual purchase.

In 2020 I bought a few sets of colored mascaras off of Amazon: Teayason, Handaiyan, and Ibcccndc. They are sold under other brand names, but the tube designs are the same, and include the original manufacturer name. I wish that there was white in this collection, but I do appreciate the non-blackened colors, in particular the grey-green and the goldenrod-yellow.
