The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.
I've been wanting to find a better storage solution for my nail polishes. I keep them in the refrigerator, in the manufacturers' boxes that they came in, grouped by collection and marked on the outside of the box (so that I have a vague idea *which* China Glaze box to grab if I want to use a Tis The Season color, for example.) I wanted a plastic box, with a locking lid and a flat bottom, that would be tall enough to hold my polish bottles, but not much taller. If I could find something that included dividers (for the rows) that would be ideal, just to further prevent breakage; but I knew that eventually those cardboard boxes would break down. They just aren't meant for long-term storage, especially not if they repeatedly go back and forth from cold environment to my countertop. I'd seen other boxes, but nothing that was really good. The dividers were too widely spaced, or the box was too tall, or the bottom had a lip and so the bottles would slide “outward”.
Today, I found The Storage Box.
On the downside: there was only one of them in stock, and it's pink. I was really hoping for something totally clear, not translucent pink (or blue). On the upside: it was $6, the lid locks into place, the bottom is totally flat, and it looked like it would be tall enough for my Zoya polishes (not the taller OPI, Sally Hansen, or China Glaze bottles, though.)
The Zoya polish bottles do indeed fit precisely. The lid touches the tops of the bottles when it's closed, but the lid doesn't get bowed upward from the too-tall polish bottles within. The lid locks into place via the two side handles, and if I get another one, they will stack perfectly. All of my current Zoya polishes fit except for about 15...and I have six more on the way (three of the Zoya freebies, three purchases from the recently-released Intimate collection.)
I found these boxes on an endcap at my local Office Depot. The company is Really Useful Boxes Inc. (http://www.reallyusefulboxes.com) and they have several different sizes available. The insert included in my box lists the measurements of each box, so that for folks like me who need to know if their China Glaze bottles will fit into their 4 litre box (they won't), the guesswork's taken out.
