Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

Lordy, Lordy! LiAnn’s Forty!

The birthday actually happened this past weekend. I spent time with my parents, and mom and I hit Sephora. (Yep. Economy deeply in recession, both of us concerned about long-term savings…and we hit Sephora.) Things with us are a bit reversed: Mom never really taught me how to apply makeup, and makeup application was actually a chore for her. When she hit retirement age, she wore minimal makeup (when she wore any). Then I got interested in mineral makeup, got her hooked, and have been showing her all kinds of tips and tricks.

I wanted to go to Sephora to pick up my birthday freebie: three lip glosses. After about seven other stops (including Nordstrom's, where Mom picked out her first MAC paint pot - Greenstroke) we hit Sephora and I headed to show her the Make Up For Ever Star Powder. I thought she might like some of the iridescents. Her eye was caught by the diamond shadows, though; and she ended up getting a rich peacock-blue and a pan of white. I taught her what admittedly little I know about lightening the eye area by applying glow powders, and gave her a first course in applying her paint pot. Greenstroke isn't as utilitarian and versatile as, say, Painterly (which was what I had originally gotten her) or Bare Study; but I left the barcode on the package so that she could choose a color she'd like. We stopped at a Bare Escentuals boutique specifically so that I could look at their newest buxoms; and they didn't have them available. So Sephora got all our money.

In honor of my birthday, I'm giving *you* the gifts! (Not makeup related - sorry…) I'm giving out coupons for 40% off of any web hosting service at my business, Scribehost. I'm giving this same gift to my existing client base, so everyone's sharing in the joy. I don't generally have special sales, because I don't think that's dreadfully fair to the existing clients who have been with me for quite a while to give new clients something they didn't get…but how many times does one turn 40? And buy a first home? And celebrate 7 years in business when so many businesses don't make it past the first year, let alone the first five?

To redeem your coupon, just order any hosting package and type in the coupon code Celebrate! at the end of the order process. You'll get 40% off your initial hosting order, you'll get web hosting at a solid proven provider, and you'll get to ask support questions of someone you know - me. (Plus, if you refer any friends, you get another gift as part of Scribehost's client-only affiliate program.)

This coupon is good until the Ides of March (expires March 15, 2009) for either Windows or Linux hosting. Discount includes the hosting only, not any domains or extra software you might order. Your account won't be instantly activated, because I run checks on every new order to make sure it's not a spammer trying to set up shop; but it will be activated within four hours.
