Ordinarily I wouldn't have looked at these very much - I tend to distrust drugstore lipsticks because they're unsealed, and you never know who's doing what to them (like the store employee at Walgreen's who tested them on the back of my and her hand before just putting them right back up on the shelf!! NO NO NO NO NO!!! Make it a tester if you're going to do that, let everyone “test” the same tube and buy fresh ones!!) But…there was a sale, AND a coupon. And I was weak. Not a bad thing, as it turns out, because these are actually pretty good lipsticks.

Perennial Pink wasn't my first choice, because I thought that I had plenty of pink lipsticks and didn't really need another. I got this color after I found out how good this line was. It's a medium pink, very nearly a neutral pink but just barely on the cool side. The application is very smooth, and once the color is in place it stays put. I haven't done any long-term testing, so I don't know if it moisturizes or not; but my lips didn't feel dry or tight while wearing this, or after removing it - so there's a plus. I wore this color for four hours before I needed to touch up - and then, I only needed a quick light going-over, not a full re-application. (I didn't do a great job of application for this photo, though - you can see some areas of spottier coverage in the picture, on my lower lip. I was doing lip swatches that day, sandwiched in between shifting loads of laundry, and was moving a bit too fast. That's my application, not the color.)
