MAC’s Groundwork paint pot

I love MAC's paint pots, I really do. I get enormous weartimes out of them, they apply easily (except for the frost-finish ones, which seems to be a near-universal problem with cream shadows) and for a while there MAC was regularly releasing some amazing shades. I didn't get colors like Blacktop or Groundwork because they seemed…well, to put it bluntly, too neutral for me to spend that much money on them. I finally did pick up Groundwork during a sale, and ended up paying something like $13 for it. It's a great shade, almost warm but not too warm, not too deep…I think this color should be in just about everyone's collection.

But don't buy Groundwork. Buy Maybelline's 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige (which is part of the regular line) because you'll save at least $10. (More, if you have coupons/there's a sale/the store prices color tattoos at $7 rather than $8 or $9.)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeliner tube or pencil barrel; top right, the eyeliner applied over bare skin, to better show the shade and properties; and below, the eyeliner applied on the eyelid at the lash line.
