I originally bought this - and the other MUFE star powders - because of the “iridescent” factor. I had just started acquiring loose-powder mineral makeup, and was utterly thrilled to find iridescent colors. This one, described as “pink gold”, became a quick favorite. Applied dry, it adds a slight blush of color and a wash of gold. Applied dry over a cream shadow and you get a little bit more color, but it's still excellent for everyday looks. Applied wet, you get the full gold wash with a backing of deep pink color.

I tend to use this most often over a neutral-dark cream shadow, like Benefit Cosmetics' Birthday Suit; or as a brow highlight color. It doesn't have enough pink pigmentation, and has too much gold pigmentation, to be easily used as an everyday lip color - though it might make a good blush highlight color (I haven't tried that.) Meow's Bromeliad is more coral than pink, and has more pigmentation (and slightly less iridescent sparkle) than MUFE 916. TKB Trading's Sparkle Rose is a near-exact match, but has a higher sparkle factor.
