After receiving the Hot Smoked palette, I wanted to try more Makeup Revolution palettes. The brand had just come available through Ulta, so I could get a firsthand look at the palettes before I bought one. I chose the Day to Night palette because it had a good range of shades, and most of the colors were pearl or shimmer finish - which would mean that they’d apply fairly well. (Like Sleek’s mattes, most of Makeup Revolution’s mattes are less pigmented and tend to fall away fairly quickly.) The shade range is a good mix, but so is the shade intensity. There are three lighter colors, five medium-intensity shades, and four deeper shadows.

• 12 — medium teal-aqua shimmer
