Meow Cosmetics’ Heliconia blush

I wasn't too sure about the color of this one. The photo on Meow's site made it look like it would be barely too orange for me. Then again, I have a bias against any orange-seeming blush. (The MUAs at BE keep trying to put Golden Gate on me, and I really really really dislike how I look with that blush on!) The duochrome iridescence of the blushes from this collection was the main attraction for me.

I bought Canna the first year the Lost Rainforest collection was released, but held off on Heliconia for two years. This year I finally got both Heliconia and Anana. Anana was a bit darker and a bit more orange than I had expected, but there's enough pink in it that it works for me. Heliconia isn't as dark or as red as Anana, and it's a bit more orange than Canna; but Heliconia does have pink tones in it. The most visible effect of this blush is the duochrome iridescence. The shade is actually visible in the swatch.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the face color in the pot; top right, the face color patted loosely over primer, to better show the shade and properties; and below, the color applied to the cheeks.
