Meow Cosmetics’ Melopomene

This is the darkest shade in the Sunless Sea collection. It's a medium-rich denim blue that can work as a liner shade (about on par with BE's Ocean, in terms of pigmentation level). Foiling does deepen the color somewhat, but even patted dry over primer it's fairly well pigmented.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

I like the combination of shade and pigmentation level. I also like that while it's got an exceedingly faint sheen when foiled, it doesn't have much actual shimmer. I have blues that are close to this shade, but either a lot less pigmented, have a lot of shimmer, or are much darker. There are probably other eyeshadows that are fairly similar to this color in terms of both shade and finish, but I don't own any…so this is a great addition to my collection.
