Meow Cosmetics’ Seaspray

Tiffany-blue! Or possibly slightly deeper. But a very attractive color that isn't the easiest thing to wear, when you have blue eyes. Cobalt? Navy? Not a problem. Green-leaning seafoam? Gimme! Tiffany blue, though…presents its own problems. Which is a shame, because I love the color!! This shadow from Meow has good color payoff, excellent adhesion (though always better when worn with a primer), and a very faint shimmer, more than a satin and slightly less than a frost but not as smooth as a pearl finish.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

I can wear this with chocolate-brown eyeshadow, and it looks good; but I think part of that is an early-00s color-theme hangover. (Remember when aqua-and-brown was the Hot New Color Combo? That lasted about three solid years, didn't it?) This is a bright-ish color, so it can look good alongside a deep enough cool grey, but I don't like that combination all that much. I can picture this with brighter jeweltone shades, similar to the ones in the Sleek Lagoon palette. My favorite combination has been this, a black-brown contour, a gold-beige highlight, and a blackened navy liner shade.
