I was interested to try these out when they first appeared on the Milani website in mid-2020. When I was growing up, my mom had a tube of tinted gel that she used for rouge; I had memories of her applying that and thought this would be similar.

It’s…a little similar. This is totally opaque liquid, so it’s easy to overapply. It’s also not easy to blend out without taking off your foundation, if you try to blend it harshly or if you use a lot of foundation. It is formulated to be used on cheeks and lips, so for folks who want them to match, there’s a benefit. This shade is more orange and less rose than I thought it would be. It isn’t so orange that I can’t wear it; but it’s close to that.
