Mon Ennui’s Benthos

I've had this one sitting in my backlog for nearly three years now. And while I pretty quickly came to the conclusion that Mon Ennui's product was okay but not worth the money being charged…I'm cataloging everything I have. I'm a completist. And I have used this eyeshadow once. So, here it is.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
This color - like many other Mon Ennui colors - was visually shown as having some duochrome properties. And it does...if you put it under a certain bulb at a certain curvature, you can see hints of blue-violet. (Pro tip: this happens with over half of metallic-finish shadows.) The product is about average for indie makeup. The price was rather high for an indie vendor. Ease of application and staying power are average for indies and similar types of "big-box" shadows/pigments (so MAC pigments, L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadows, Fyrinnae and Femme Fatale semi-loose powders...)
