I ordered this color “swatch unseen”, so I didn't have much to go on besides the in-jar photo on the vendor's website. When it arrived and I opened the pot, my first thought was “...oh, damn.”
It looked a lot like Aromaleigh v1's Pique, which looked a lot like Simply Naturals' Black Cherry, which I later discovered was essentially Winterveld/WinterRose Mica. I didn't suspect either Morgana or Aromaleigh of repacking either of those colors, but I didn't love the very faint rust base with the slight blue interference. The worst that could have happened was that they combined other oxides and micas and base ingredients to get an effect similar to Winterveld Mica, but with either a more profound duochrome effect (which is what Aromaleigh seemed to be aiming for, throughout the entire En Pointe collection) or more pigmentation in the base color. My problem is…I don't love this color combination.
I swatched it, and as you can see, it's definitely got more pigmentation than the bulk-packed Winterveld mica. The blue/violet duochrome is more subtle in this LE color than it is in the straight Winterveld/WinterRose mica, as well - suggesting that that may be one of the color ingredients, but it's not the sole ingredient. It's…just not a color combination that I love. The quality is solid, the adhesion's good, and since I got it on sale, the price can't be faulted. I just don't know that I'm going to have an entirely easy time using this one.
The other LE color I got from this collection, LE 14, is a redder base color. I may have an easier time with that.
