Sometimes you adventurously try a color, a finish, a shade, a product that you haven't tried before. Sometimes it's way out of your comfort zone, but you figure - I might as well try it, right? Never venture out of the comfort zone, never learn anything. And so I ventured. And I learned that medium-dark grey lipstick doesn't look good on me. (I might have guessed before that it would have pretty limited usefulness…but, once again, stay trapped in the comfort zone, never grow.)
I had more difficulty getting this color to apply than I have with other lipsticks from Morgana. I don't know if that had to do with the batch, or if this color is just always not so easy to deposit. I had to press a little harder to get even application, and go over my lips four times. I probably won't be buying this shade again…not because of the quality, but because this particular shade isn't something I'd wear often, even if it was uber-creamy smooth.
I might possibly find some use for this at DragonCon. I wonder how this would look under a medium pink lip polish, or with one of the “diamond” buxoms like Claire or April?
