Not really. But yes, really.

I decluttered my makeup once. I threw out a lot of really poor quality loose powder shadows, many bought when I was just getting into makeup and was still learning what constituted “good” and “not good” (chalky, full of fillers, bad pigmentation) and who was a truly crappy reseller (Simply Naturals, an ittybitty storefront that used to live on Ebay.)

I managed to get my collection down by about 1/3. A year later, it was almost twice the size of what it was before I decluttered. I have not decluttered since. I throw away stuff that stops working, or that’s so truly awful that I can’t find ANY use for it, not even some craft project or whatnot.

Not really. But yes, really.

'Decluttering' means throwing out a lot of your makeup so that you have room to buy more makeup! How else could you try everything?

Have you decluttered any one type of item multiple times in the span of, say, a decade? How often? And what was the impetus for the 2nd and later rounds? I'm curious, because I'm obviously not doing something right.
