Despite being a warm color, it's almost a pinked coral rather than what I'd mentally class as “Apricot”. (Or perhaps my definitions are just mucked.) At any rate, this color pleasantly surprised me by being very wearable. Apricot, peach, coral, and other warm lip colors are kind of hit or miss - it depends on whether the line in general runs warmer or cooler than how I'd define things (a bit like how you can wear medium width shoes from most manufacturers, but have to get wide from a few lines…or vice versa.)
The application was a little bit dry, as most of the lipsticks in this line tend to be. Once in place, the color stayed put…but again, it felt drying. My lips weren't chapped after wearing this for the better part of the day, but the color didn't feel particularly pleasant. I haven't tried wearing this over a lip balm - maybe I'll give that a shot and see if the discomfort disappears.
