I'm not sure why NYX called this color Indigo. Perhaps out of a morbid sense of humor. Or because they couldn't think of other names. (Though there are so many names from their Round collection that they didn't use in the Black Label collection. Indian Pink, for one.) The color right out of the tube looks like it could end up being a near-neon orange; but on my lips it was a gilded coral-rose shade. Very flattering! I bought this shade on a whim - the visual of the color, the name, and the very few swatches I found didn't really match up. I figured I either had the worst-calibrated monitor in the world, or this color really was a bit of a chameleon.
It's almost too warm for me to wear. I have to be extra-cautious that the other makeup or clothes colors don't push this further into the orange spectrum. But it's not as garish as I thought it might be when I saw it in the tube. Like all the Black Label lipsticks, this is scented with grapeseed, and it lasts fairly well. I get about three hours' wear before I have to touch up the color (if I initially blotted after applying - which, honestly, is the only way I wear a shade this bright.)
