NYX Cosmetics’ Jumbo Eye Pencil in Purple

I kind of wish that this color didn't apply as sheerly as it does. It's a semisheer rich violet with a blue flash. It reminds me of a darker, deeper version of Benefit's Purple Snap (which is also semisheer.) I haven't tried applying this one over a primer yet, so perhaps that will help it adhere a little better.

I would dearly love to find a deep dark jeweltone purple eye pencil or cream shadow. I think MAC's Hyperviolet might be as close as I've gotten recently…but dang, it would be nice to have a “portable” version like one of the NYX pencils! (Hm…there's something called Purple Velvet. Maybe that one isn't metallic, but is more opaque than this one…)
