NYX Cosmetics’ Lock It Waterproof Mascara Topcoat

When you want to wear a certain mascara but you want it to be waterproof and it isn’t…this will save your bacon. Or your mascara. Whichever.

Ever since I’ve been extremely into makeup, some company has had a waterproof mascara topcoat available. Maybe not 100% of the time, but enough different companies in sequence that I could find one every other year or so. First it was Urban Decay’s Lash Lingerie and Galoshes; then it was BareMinerals’ Locked and Loaded Waterproof Topcoat; now it’s NYX’s Lock It.

According to the directions, you just add two coats of this to make any mascara waterproof. I’ve tested it on my Kiko Super Color mascaras, and on my MUFE Smoky Lash colored mascaras, which are just about the only non-waterproof mascaras that I own.
