The name says “pearl”, but trust me…this is a near-metallic when applied wet, and a kind-of frost-shimmer when applied dry. At no point does the finish really approximate “pearl.” On the good side, it's a cooler brown, and the color payoff is decent if not actually really great. It reminds me of Bare Escentuals' Santorini at a fraction of the cost.

There are a couple of browns in both the Pearl Mania and the Chrome collections. Which one you should get depends on your undertones. If you look good in golds and yellows and warmer colors, look at Nude and Mink. If you're a true-neutral, wear whichever of the three colors you like best - but be aware that Nude is a very gold-tan with strong yellow undertones, so if you want something closer to neutral go with Mink. If you have cool or olive undertones, definitely stick with Mocha.
