There's almost a bit of duochrome action going on here.

Almost.

The trade-off seems to be: a hint of gold duochrome, sparser holographic effects. Few of the Designer Series polishes have been smooth linear holographics, but this one is extremely scattered. More coats may increase the holographic effect, but I was happy enough to stop with two.
