OPI’s Hong Kong collection

Originally I wasn’t interested in this collection - it looked like too many colors that were nice enough, but nothing incredibly special. Then I got one shade. Then another. And about a year later, a third. (You know how it goes.) Currently I own four colors from this collection, and while the other shades look attractive enough and the quality of the ones I do have is really good, I don’t know that I’ll get any more of these. On the whole, the palette doesn’t jump out and wow me. They’re pretty, but the colors just don’t appeal to me personally.

This collection contained:

  • A Good Mandarin is Hard To Find — medium-deep orange creme
  • Bling Dynasty — medium-deep metallic gold shimmer
  • Chopsticking To My Story — medium burnt-sienna creme
  • Dim Sum Plum — magenta-berry creme
  • Hot and Spicy — medium bright orange creme
  • Jade is The New Black — medium green creme
  • Lucky Lucky Lavender — medium pinked lilac creme
  • Meet Me on the Star Ferry — metallic dusty mauve-rose shimmer
  • Panda-monium Pink — medium-light cool baby pink creme
  • Pearl of Wisdom — sheer white-pink-blue duochrome shimmer
  • Red My Fortune Cookie — orange-red creme
  • Suzi Says Feng Shui — medium cerulean blue creme

Jade is the New Black was my first purchase - and the only polish that initially interested me. I had been keeping a casual eye out for greens that were a bit brighter, but without yellow undertones. My next purchase was Meet Me on the Star Ferry. I'd seen it in person at a few store displays, and finally picked up a bottle during a sale at my nearby store. I most recently got Pearl of Wisdom and Feng Shui off of an Ebay seller.
