OPI’s Peace Love and OPI

This is the only polish I purchased from this collection - not because the other colors weren't good quality, just that the shades didn't interest me much.

When photos began circulating, many beauty bloggers and nail-polish addicts were asking ourselves how similar this might be to the Katy Perry/OPI collaboration “Not Like The Movies.” The answer, as it turns out…is “a superior version.” Where NLTM was sheer and you really could only get the full effect by using four or more layers (even over a dark polish) Peace Love and OPI shows its colors after two coats. Additionally, where NLTM's colorshifts are primarily warm, Peace Love and OPI shifts between navy, teal, purple, and green.

I did need three coats to get fully opaque coverage, but only three. Not four, not three-over-a-darker-color. The formula was almost a little *too* thick, though - it has a sad tendency to show brushstrokes. I think part of that is the frost finish (I have yet to meet a frost polish with truly good spreadability.)
