Pay no attention to the elves behind the CMS…

Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

Pay no attention to the elves behind the CMS…

I'm doing a whole lot of cataloging-content: the kits I own, the colors I have, et cetera. I still have to photograph about half of my purples and add them to the color gallery. I've managed to get most of the July-featured kits entered into the system, and all nicely photographed (well…maybe not so nicely, but at least ‘photographed'). I've even received my nailpolish orders from Nubar and Diamond.

...and, of course, I probably won't be able to wear any of the colors for the next month because I'm painting the exterior of my house. My neighbors are helping, which means I'll be helping with the exterior of their house as well. But the scraping, the sanding, the painting! I just know that the polish will chip horribly. And I have event staffing on the weekends, and can't wear any brightly colored nailpolish to that. (Dang!! I now have nine lovely duochromes and I can't really use any of them!!)

Hey, at least I've managed to get about 10 kits entered into the system today. So there's progress. Right? (Though how sad is this: I own 172 Bare Escentuals kits…most acquired piecemeal from Ebay, and a lot of crossovers (colors appearing in more than one kit)...but that's still a lot.)

Tomorrow, the temperatures are supposed to be pushing 90. For the coastal Pacific Northwest, that's HOT, y'all. I'll be keeping the windows shut after about 10am, turning on all the fans, turning OFF as many heat-generating things as possible (except the fans. Those stay on full force, dang it.) But I'm going to keep entering kits, and may photograph some more of my purples. They're the holdouts. As soon as I finish those, I've got my entire collection in the color gallery. Then just comes the writeups of every color and kit, comparisons and equivalencies between the brands, et cetera. (Yeah, I'm just a wee bit of a workaholic.)
