This is another shade that looks surprisingly good on me! So many of the deeper reds don't appeal to me because they're so warm. This is most definitely a cooler shade, not completely purple-red, but not a “warm” red at all. I apply mine and blot, and it doesn't apply as dark as you might think, just looking at the lipstick. I like this shade a lot more than I thought I would! (Another plus of deep, cool lip colors: they don't highlight how not-white my teeth are quite as well as vampy reds.)

Like the other Colorburst colors I own, this applies very smoothly and lasts well. Because it's a darker shade I noticed that it needed re-application after about four hours - the lighter shades don't seem to need re-application so obviously, quite as quickly.
