Revlon’s current mascara lineup is their take on the “personalized mascara” trend, with different brushes for the different formulas. I was hesitant to try their new mascara line. I still very much miss Lash Potion. But I figured…okay, they’re BOGOFF at Ulta, I’ll give some of them a shot. One of the three mascaras that I bought was this one, the Super Length. I like mascara that lengthens and defines, so it was a calculated guess that this mascara would give me results that I liked.
I was wrong. At least with this one.
On the up side: the mascara did define my lashes and lengthen them a bit. There wasn’t much clumping. But this brush did get mascara onto my eyelid. If one was being charitable, one could say that this would effectively mimic tightlining, making my lashes look fuller.
The mascara may be billed as waterproof; and true, I don’t end up with Winter-Solder-eyes after a few hours. I did get dark circles after a full day’s wear, though. The mascara smudged off, it just took longer. Not all of it smudged off, though. Throughout the day, larger pieces of mascara flaked off and fell into my eyes. The whole experience was extremely uncomfortable. I still have two other Revlon mascaras from their newer lineup that I’m going to try…but Super Length is going back to Ulta (if they’ll take it) or into the bin (if they won’t.)
