I'm not the buggest fan of orange nail polishes. They generally don't work well for me: some make my hands look too red, or make my skin look faintly jaundiced. I'll make exceptions for duochrome and duotone polishes, but not always. This spring and summer, lots of pink-based orange and coral polishes have been released, and I'm having a great time rounding out the shades in my collection! Most oranges are too yellow-toned for me to wear well, but corals are perfect.
Peach of Cake is either an orange-toned pinked coral, or a softened tangerine (depending on lighting and surrounding colors.) I was attracted to this color the first time I saw it, on a kind of messed-up stand next to First Kiss. So of course I got them both. Peach of Cake is darker, and is part of the regular line - it won't be going away in a few months. Application was wonderful and the polish smooths out easily; but if you don't wait long enough between coats, you'll get a bit of pulling (like I did.) I used two coats and got full coverage with no thin or bald spots.
