Sally Hansen’s Sunflowers

Another color from the Tracy Reece Spring 2010 collection. I got this because I really didn't have any bright yellows, and we've been having such foul weather lately I thought painting my nails a truly bright color might help. (It has…sort of. After some clouds and showers this morning, we're supposedly due for five days of mostly-sunny weather, with temps getting into the low 70s. This might well be our entire summer, right here, and I plan to enjoy it.) I liked the color, but for some reason this didn't apply as opaquely or as smoothly as the other colors from this collection. I wonder if I was applying the second coat too heavily, to counteract a somewhat-transparent first coat?

Both pictures are indoor lighting, two coats, no basecoat or topcoat. I wore this polish for four days before I saw tip wear…and I'm sure that the eyeshadow repotting I did played some part in that. Even with the less-than-expected opacity and the uneven finish, I do like this color and will wear it again. It lasted about as long, and as well, as the other Complete Salon Manicure formula colors I've worn.
