One of the few colors I’ve bought from Shiro that I haven’t been thrilled with. The concept is nice enough, and it’s been done a few times, but the execution here is not marvelous. The color applies patchily whether over primer or bare skin, whether wet or dry. This is so out of character for Shiro’s colors… The white with silver sparkle is a straightforward enough proposition, but why is it that I can only find two colors that match it exactly in my collection, and both of them are discontinued? (Maybe that’s why Shiro left this in the Legends lineup when they culled the unloved shades, back in 2011: because it wasn’t easy to find such an eyeshadow.)
Hopefully I just got a not-so-great batch. If that isn’t the case, I hope Shiro takes this particular shade back to the drawing board, to figure out why this shadow behaves the way it does.

I went back through my posts and found my original swatch of Puzzle Cube. Mine looks quite chunky and patchy as well, so maybe it’s the colour?

Hm…possible. Annoying, but possible. I know that Aromaleigh and My Pretty Zombie both did silver-white sparkle colors that didn’t apply chunkily (is that even a real word…?) so I was really thrown that Shiro’s applied so oddly. So much else of Shiro’s inventory applies pretty well to excellent.
