You wouldn't think a fuchsia-pink eyeliner would work. Well…if you have very ruddy coloring, it may look odd. And if you're exceedingly pale, it could look a little unnerving. But if you have greyed blue or hazel eyes, it actually works fairly well. It complements the eye color very nicely without looking “horror-movie” red or “stye” pink.
Certain eyelining styles and techniques don't work quite as well with this shade. Cat eyes or winged lining is out unless you're going for an 80s makeup look. Tightlining looks good, as does a broader, sharp-edged line. When I smudged this out, it did look like I had some kind of eye irritation. But with a sharp line, it was pretty clear that it was makeup. Pairing this color up with tightlined white was definitely 80s-retropop, but also great for one of the odd warm-weather days we had back in February.
