The Hoard

I've got a LOT of mineral makeup. (And scarily enough, I've acquired all of this in less than two years. Yeesh…) I can now safely slow my acquisition rate because I've got a huge array of colors: a glut of greens; a bounty of blues; a plethora of purples. (There are no synonyms for “plenty” that start with r, o, or y. The English language has let me down.)

The Hoard

I need to reorganize and collect things - while I've got a few storage solutions, they're a bit scattered at the moment. I've got one three-drawer dealio for my paint pots and cream shadows/liners, one slick drawer-and-organizer setup for my face colors and lip glosses; and several craft storage bins for holding my eye pigment jars…which I have sorted by color, and arranged chromatically. Because, yes, I'm that big of a color dweeb.

Blushes, Glow Powders, and Lip Colors

With some eyeliners thrown in for good measure. For a while there I was separating out my eyeliner colors from my other colors. I may discontinue this, and just use any color as an eyeliner if I feel like it. I'm still undecided about this. I do know that some of my "eyeliner" colors make excellent shadows in their own right. BE's Dragonfly, paired with BE's Blush, makes a really nice colorful combination.

Paint Pots and Gel Liners

This little set of drawers currently sits on one side of the vanity. I haven't come up with a satisfactory method for storing the paint pots - largely because MAC insists on having curved dome lids for its paint pots. This is rather annoying. (I may get new glass jars, re-pot all my MAC paint pots, and take the empties back and get more goodies. Again, though, I haven't decided.)

Pigment Pots

Eventually, if I get my fondest wish, I'll have a recessed "closet" in the master bath for these pigment pots. It will have to be something with movable shelves, it will have to accomodate a growing collection, it will have to have some way to not let the pots just all fall out when I open the doors; and it will have to be something that's moisture-proof and light-proof and doesn't force me to store the pots resting on their sides - though honestly, just about anything would look nicer than what I'm doing right now. I want to be able to quickly and easily see all the colors, and I want to be able to store the pots in a way that there won't be spillage when I open a lid.
