This is a true duochrome interference mica. It's the ingredient that causes the colorshifting effects in Pure Luxe's Visions (added to a brown base…or this may be the whole of the color - the mica itself is so colorsaturated that it isn't easy to determine). I wish that other MMU companies used this in their products because I love duochrome shadows…but at the price per ounce for this stuff, and the fact that duochromes might have a more limited audience, I can almost reason why they don't. At any rate, I've seen people use this to create frankenpolishes, I've used it as both a color (and an eyeliner) an overall “colorchanger”, I've added it to a few matte colors I've purchased from this and that vendor.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
