A brighter yellow, most definitely a primary color, not a “sunflower” or “golden” yellow. This sheers out just a little bit when I apply it, and the color loses a little of its intensity when compared to viewing it in the pot; but it's not semisheer. It's a good brighter yellow when you want a pop of color, but not a neon-explosion.
When I've applied this over a cream base, I get a brighter yellow if I put this over a white or softer neutral.
