TKB Trading’s Vintage Blue

This color is almost a Tiffany blue, but with less of the aqua tones and a little bit more color depth. (Not much, though…this still qualifies as a “light blue.”) Because this is a straight mica with no ingredients to aid with adhesion, you'll need to wear this with a primer, a setting medium, or both. Otherwise, you'll find this lovely blue fading as the day goes on. This could be used as a blending color, or a brightening wash, as well as the standard all-over lid application. I haven't tried using this as a liner or lower-lid accent shade, but I'm betting it could add an attractive, soft bit of color without being overwhelming.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

This mica has been discontinued - I don't know why, but it's no longer available. I'm guessing that the manufacturer discontinued it, which is why TKB can't sell it any longer. TKB has other light blue micas available, but none that exactly match Vintage Blue. (I'm glad that I got a full ounce, instead of just a sample packet, back when I originally bought it!)
