It was heartening to see a metallic silver and a metallic gold pencil in Urban Decay's lineup. It was such a disappointment, then, when they seemed to have the same application difficulties as the silver and gold Physician's Formula retractable liners. Once applied, this pencil does stay put. Unfortunately, it applies rather unevenly. A second layer is required to get a solid line - and if you don't wait long enough, you end up just relocating the layer below it, rather than filling in the gaps.

I got best results when I used this pencil as a semisheer highlighting layer over a darker liquid liner.

Given the repeated problems I seem to have with metallic gold eyeliner pencils, I'm going to stop buying them in hopes of finding one that applies evenly and solidly, yet has the metallic finish. I've tried matte and cream yellow liner pencils, and they apply fine; likewise, liquid metallic gold liners apply well and stay in place.
