When computers don’t recognize themselves any more…

Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

So - well. My latest BE order arrived - Organza, Nurture, and Drift - but I can't upload any photos because my desktop computer died. It was running lovely, lovely, Windows XP. And while I have the disk, when I tried reinstalling the OS on a brand-spanking-new hard drive, the OS couldn't find the hard drive. So I'm running off of my laptop computer which uses the hideous beast Windows Vista. All of my software - my HTML editing software, my graphics software, my spreadsheet software, EVERYTHING - is Windows XP versions.

Dammit.

I've got all my data, and it was copied to the brand-spanking-new hard drive (which may as well make itself useful), but while I can access the files, I can't really edit any of them because 1) I don't have the software on this laptop; and 2) the software disks that I do have don't recognize Vista as anything other than a coding mistake that really should have been left in the dev sandbox and never, ever inflicted upon the public.

I am almost ready to cry, and so am not putting on eye makeup today because it would just run.

Dammit!!
