Zoya’s Claudine / Black Swan

Deeper than Zoya's Freja, but if you are not a huge fan of metallic black nail polishes and you already have Freja you may be able to safely skip Claudine. This color was originally created for Zang Toi's Imperial Russia collection for NYFW 2013.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

Close-up photo of the middle three fingernails of the left hand, showing the nail color applied. The left hand holding a bottle of nail polish and displaying all manicured fingernails, with 2 coats of Zoya's Claudine / Black Swan Four fingers in a row, resting on the thumb, with all nails displaying 2 coats of Zoya's Claudine / Black Swan

The polish is…okay. It was a bit bubbly, which isn't something I've generally seen with Zoya polishes of any shade. (It could have been the transit. I did this manicure the day the box arrived from Cleveland. Maybe my local postalfolk were playing hackeysack with the packages again..?) The consistency was nice and thick, no ridges or flaws from my nails showed through. This may be another “it could double as a stamping polish” candidate.
