Zoya’s Colette

Supposedly this is a duochrome color…but I'm not seeing it. It's definitely an orange-brown, with hints of gold shimmer. It looked more like a creme than a metallic (which Zoya's site claims it is) or anything with glitter or even microglitter. Compared to Anastasia and Evangeline, the two other colors I own from this collection, Colette looks very much like a straightforward creme.

It wears well, it applies well, and I think it will make an interesting background for nail art. I don't know that I'll wear it very much on my own, though - the finish isn't what I expected (I had hoped for something more foil-like, rather than creme-like, even with two coats) and the color isn't hideous on me, but I don't love it. It's almost too warm a brown but too brown an orange.
