Zoya’s Winter 2020 collection was released during the Covid-19 lockdown. While it did have some richer jeweltones and a pale icy pearl, the new-leaf shades Eunice and Nico, along with the faded shades Beverly, Avi, and Brett looked…a little less wintry. (Their Fall 2020 collection, Luscious, looks a little more like a winter palette to me.) I picked up Beverly, Brett, Meredith, and Nisha; and was thinking of going back for Avi. While I personally don’t care for either Eunice or Nico, it’s nice to see more yellow-green polishes available. (Most of Zoya’s available greens are emerald, olive, or blue-toned.)
In late November/early December 2020, Zoya had a promo where people making a $35+ order could get the entire Intriguing collection for free with code HOLIDAY. Since I had three other polishes that I already wanted, I happily applied the code to an order I placed on December 3. I'm glad I got extra bottles of the four colors that I did buy because as of late March 2021, four of the colors in this collection - including three of the original four that I chose to buy - were no longer available or even listed on the site. Zoya usually keeps colors in rotation for a few years, so seeing that Lottie, Beverly, Brett, and Nisha were no longer on the Zoya website not six months after their release was a rude surprise. Contrast that with the entire Luscious collection still being available at the time of this writing...perhaps it was an ingredient issue that led to those four colors being taken off of their site? I guess we'll find out in a few months.
