Zoya’s MarryJ

This color looks redder and warmer than I expected, based on the description and on various online photos. I may be able to make this work because of the fuchsia tones, but it isn't my favorite color ever. (And my photos are dreadfully blurred - sorry!!) There was a tiny amount of visible brushstrokes with this shade, but it wasn't as bad as some polishes. It's a toss-up whether to classify this one as a soft frost finish, or a soft metallic finish. It's got a very “wet” look to it, even when the polish is fully cured.

Application went fairly smoothly, but it took four coats to get fully opaque coverage. This is more than I'm used to needing to use with Zoya polishes. The color depth with four coats is amazing, though! I just wish it were heftier, so that I could use it for nail stamping. As it is, the resulting stamp is just so thin that it's almost a faint impression of the shape rather than a good strong shape on my nail. (Then again, maybe I can play with that effect…)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches
