Zoya’s Ziv

Elegant “holiday” metallic gold - and one of the only two polishes I got from the Ornate collection. It is somewhat similar to a few other Zoya polishes, but not similar enough that I'd skip this one: it's more metallic than Goldie, lighter than Richelle, brighter than Jules. Viewed up close, this polish has a pointillist thing going on, kind of like Warm and Fozzie - so that it looks textured, but it's really a smooth finish.

I get full coverage in two coats, and application was smooth and straightforward. I really like this polish! The base color is very similar to China Glaze's 2030, with a few subtle darker hints (courtesy of the tone-on-tone pointilist effects.) I will probably get a backup of this color. I can see using this a lot in nail stamping! The “speckled” effect will not detract from any stamping design, but give it some nuanced depth and texture - same as it does for full-on manicures.
